Petit Grimaldi is a bright and comfortable apartment with sunny balcony beside the Castle. It is situated on the charming Place du Grimaldi with is cobbled stones. As a result is it superbly positioned for accessing the restaurants on the Place du Chateau and listening to the summer jazz every Friday night. Another key point is that it is on one level. In fact, this is rare in the village. You climb approximately 12 steps to access the apartment, but then you have a bright, open space on the first floor. Equally important is there is no vis a vis – other than the Castle itself.

At first you enter a charming old wooden door, a w.c is conveniently located behind the entrance door. To the left you arrive in a delightful open kitchen-sitting room with ceiling beams and wooden flooring. These run throughout the entire apartment. The sitting room  has one large window and French doors leading to a delightful, sunny balcony. It is a burst of colour in the summer time with a climbing bougainvillaea. The balcony overlooks the Square with views over the Castle and the Church Tower. As a result, you can enjoy a glass of wine at the table and chairs provided, whilst listening to the jazz from the neighbouring Square. Similarly, you can relax with a morning coffee whilst the village awakens.

The sun floods into the sitting room. In brief, there is a comfortable sofa , armchair and antique chair, as well as a coffee table and fireplace. A huge mirror is positioned between the windows giving a wonderful feeling of light and space. There are 2 stone walls, one as you enter and one behind the kitchen. The kitchen wall also has a window  – making for a perfect current of air, which flows through the apartment in the warmer months The kitchen offers a sink, 3 ring electric cooktop and oven. Similarly there is a standing fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and washing machine. Of course there is a large dining table with 4 chairs very conveniently positioned.

A small but substantial bathroom is located beside the kitchen. In detail, it offers a shower with green-grey mosaic tiles and wash hand basin.

Petit Grimaldi has 2 bedrooms. The one closest to the kitchen has 2 single beds, bedside tables, lamps and a wardrobe. There is a high strip of windows offering light from the main bedroom beside it. In contrast, this bedroom remains the coolest without the summer sun shining in. The main bedroom has a double bed (160cm), wardrobe space and window overlooking the Castle Square.

To summarise, this apartment is superbly located, well laid out and comfortable on one level. It is bright and has a sunny balcony for outside space. It sleeps up to 4 people, but is ideal for a couple also. Fans are provided in the summer months. The bus stop for the free shuttle bus no 44 is 2 minutes away and you can unload your car close to the bus stop, so it is close to the apartment. Walking into town takes about 7 minutes, if you don’t feel like taking the bus.
